Welcome to the Faculty of Information Technology
Established in September 1990, the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) is proud to be one of the earliest founding faculties of Ho Chi Minh City Open University. Over the past 35 years of growth and development, FIT has built a team of experienced and dedicated full-time lecturers, including Ph.D. and M.Sc. holders from prestigious universities both in Vietnam and abroad. In addition, the Faculty regularly invites visiting lecturers from renowned universities, research institutes, and enterprises across Ho Chi Minh City, fostering strong connections between academia and industry.
To date, the Faculty has trained and contributed a high-quality workforce to society, with approximately 5,500 full-time graduates holding bachelor’s degrees in disciplines such as Computer Science, Informatics, and Management Information Systems. Thousands more have completed part-time Informatics programs, reflecting the Faculty’s broad and inclusive approach to education.
