Delegation from Kasetsart University (KU), Thailand Visits and Works with Ho Chi Minh City Open University
On October 13, 2025, at the Traditional Hall of the Vo Van Tan Campus, Ho Chi Minh City Open University (HCMCOU) had the honor of welcoming a delegation from Kasetsart University (KU), Sriracha Campus, Thailand, for a visit and working session.

The KU delegation included:

Assoc. Prof. Dr. P. Pungboon Pansila, Dean of the Faculty of Science at Sriracha;

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tongsai Jamnongkan, Vice Dean for Research and International Collaboration, Faculty of Science at Sriracha;

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chatchai Kasemtaweechok, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Information;
-
Dr. Somsawut Nindam, Lecturer, Faculty of Science at Sriracha.
Representing Ho Chi Minh City Open University were:

Dr. Truong Hoang Vinh, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology;
-
Dr. Pham Ha, Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking;
along with representatives of relevant administrative units.

During the meeting, both sides provided an overview of their respective universities and faculties, followed by in-depth discussions on potential avenues for future collaboration. Key topics included:

Faculty and student exchange programs;

Master’s and Doctoral scholarship opportunities at Kasetsart University;

The development of joint postgraduate training programs between the two institutions.
The meeting was conducted in an open, cordial, and highly academic atmosphere, reflecting a shared commitment to promoting international cooperation in education and research.

Prior to the working session, the KU delegation was guided on a tour of the university’s facilities, including lecture halls, computer laboratories, the library, and in particular, practical computer labs and ongoing theoretical classes. The delegation highly appreciated the modern facilities, dynamic learning environment, and innovative spirit of Ho Chi Minh City Open University.

The visit and working session of the Kasetsart University delegation marks an important initial step in fostering cooperative relations between the two institutions, opening up new opportunities for collaboration in education, research, and international academic exchange.
